Why The Fans & Support are so important —

I notice that there are a lot of artist, authors and movie directors that have thousands of fans. I understand that at a point in life, some of them may become annoying or groupies. It’s not the fact that it’s their fault, when they see good talent– they freak out!! I think these supporters and fans are the keys to success, after God because they buy your material and not only that, they read and watch it.

There’s all different types of fans: The obsessed one, crazy ones, cool ones, and the straight-forward ones. I love how they can purchase your stuff not just because of the person you are, but because of the things you write about. I guess you can put it in a way of a certain perception– If you be good to the fans they’ll be good to you. Our job is to pour out our life into these books, movies, and music. You have to go hard or go home, and either way it’s about that time in life that you deliver something to the world.

Fans and supporters not only pay the bills, they’re at almost every event that’s taking place. I have to say even though we may not know them personally. They are a damn good support system when you need inspiration and good words. I love fans that not only stays true to the star, but remains true to themselves, also. Things like that gets no better than a piece of chocolate candy! You never know who supports your work and really has your back until, you stand out on that carpet and gaze around. “Thank You!” you’re yelling at the top of your lungs, telling them how much they all mean to you. I don’t think that kind of passion comes from the checks, it’s the support they give. There’s always someone there to replace those that wasn’t bold enough to support you!
